Seminar for ESOCS held in Nigeria Particpants learned to create Sunday School teaching manuals. The Good News Theological College and Seminary held a seminar for the Eternal Sacred Order of Cherubim and Seraphim (ESOCS) Church, in Abuja, Nigeria. The seminar was held (25-30 Nov, 2008) to equip some selected members to write Sunday School teaching manuals for the church. It was at the invitation of Prof. Joseph Otubu, the Apostle General of the church. Instructors at the seminar were: Rev. Dr. Thomas Oduro, Rev. Humphrey Akogyeram (all from Good News Theological College and Seminary) and Dr. Adeleye Adesua, the Director of Training of the OAIC-Nigeria. Participants were able to write a thirteen-week study manual titled – Let’s Study the Bible. One participant commented, “The lecture opened my eyes on how to study the Bible, how to pay attention to maps in the Bible, trace it, follow and study genealogical lineage critically as they are very important in the study of the Bible.” The Eternal Sacred Order of Cherubim and Seraphim Church is one of the largest AICs in Nigeria. The church, which was established in 1925, has congregations in many African countries, Europe and the US.
