The Center for the Study of African Instituted Churches (CESAIC)
The seminary is in the process of establishing The Center for the Study of African Instituted Churches (CESAIC). This is in line with one of the three principles for the establishment of the seminary - to document various religious experiences of African Instituted Church (AIC) leaders. Founders of the seminary were of the view that such documentations will facilitate the understanding of the doctrines and practices of AICs. Despite the mammoth growth and influence of AICs there is no centre in Africa where one can go and have access to their histories, religious experiences, social contributions, activities, etc. In Europe, the Selly Oak College of the University of Birmingham in the city of Birmingham is the only place such a center is located. Harold Turner, one of the foremost researchers of the AICs, established the Selly Oak center at a time when political instability was rife in many African countries. Many Africans do not have the resources to visit the center due to its location in Europe. In fact, some people even doubt the usefulness of the center due to its location. Being the foremost educational center for the training of AICs, it is just prudent to establish such a center. November 2007 is the scheduled period for opening the Center to public use. PLEASE DONATE TO THE CENTER Those who want to mail their donations directly may do so to P. O. Box AN 6484, Accra, Ghana. Collection points in the US are: Steve Wiebe-Johnson Annette Jones GM/ELCA
