Academic Programmes

Classroom

Full Time Programme

The Full Time Programme at GNTCS is a two-year course of study. Students attend classes five days a week for two 16-week semesters each year. English language is the medium of instruction. Students are expected to demonstrate adequate academic preparation, evidence of maturity and the ability to study at this level. Students who successfully complete the Full time programme are awarded certificates or diplomas based on the student's Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA).

Classes are held five days each week from 8:00AM to 2:PM. Students are encouraged to stay in school until 5:00PM for study and research. There are three terms of 13 weeks each, beginning in September and ending in July. Mid-term and final examinations are conducted each term. A worship service is held each day led by students, faculty, staff, and friends. All students are expected to attend.

Part Time Programme

GNTCS offers a Part time evening programme at various centres in Accra/Tema Metropolitan area to cater for all Christians who want sound biblical and theological education but are unable to leave their employment to attend school full time. The details of this programme are found in a separate Prospectus. Graduates of the Part time programme are awarded certificate in Christian Leadership or Evangelism based on the student's area of interest.

Extension Programmes

Theological Education by Extension (TEE)
The TEE of GNTCS brings biblical and theological education at all levels to leaders and members of churches enrolled in the programme. Courses are offered both in English and in various local languages. The details of this programme are found in a separate document.

Church Leadership Seminars

Church Leadership Seminars are organized for Leaders of Churches in a particular neighbourhood. It is ecumenical in nature. The purpose of the programme is to sharpen the ministerial skills and gifts of Church leaders by comparing notes and having deeper insights to ministerial challenges. The programme is organized on request.

Special Short-Term Training Courses

Periodic and short term courses are organized for workers, leaders and groups of a particular Church.
